Privacy policy

This site belongs to Demo Padel Club ("the club"), which runs its tournaments here. The club decides what happens with players' data. Seedcourt hosts the site and keeps the data on the club's behalf, and uses it for nothing else.

What we keep

• Players' names, pairs, match results and, from them, the club's draws, statistics and ranking. These are public on the site.
• For an online registration: the WhatsApp number and, if given, the email of the person who registers the pair, and their note to the organisers. These are seen by the club's organisers only.
• Whether the entry fee is paid, how, and when. Card and bank details are entered on the payment provider's page (Xendit) and never reach this site.
• If you turn on notifications: your browser's push address and the pairs you follow, to send you those notifications.
• Anonymous visit counts: the page and a code made from your address and browser that changes every day, so a visitor can't be followed from one day to the next.
• Cookies for the site to work only: the language you chose, the players you follow, your vote. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Why

To run the tournaments: take registrations, make the draw and schedule, contact you about your matches, take entry fees, send the notifications you asked for and publish the results. No marketing, and nothing is sold or given to anyone else, except the services the site needs to work (payments by Xendit, hosting).

How long

Results stay on the site for as long as the club runs it, as the club's tournament record. WhatsApp numbers, emails and notes of registrations are deleted 12 months after the tournament. If the club leaves Seedcourt, its data is handed back to the club and deleted from the platform within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data about you, to correct it or to be forgotten: write to the organisers of Demo Padel Club. When you are forgotten, your name is replaced with an alias everywhere and your contacts are deleted; results of matches you played stay, so your opponents' records still add up.

Consent

When you register a pair you agree to this policy and to the organisers contacting you on WhatsApp about the tournament. Notifications are only sent if you turn them on in your browser, and you can turn them off there at any time.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS only. Organisers sign in with their own accounts and roles, every change they make is logged, passwords are stored as hashes, payment keys are encrypted, each club's data is kept apart from other clubs, and the database is backed up. If data leaks, the club is told and players are informed as the law requires.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.

The site runs on Seedcourt, which hosts it for the club.
